The BRRC Core Facility brings together technology, human movement and life sciences researchers, patients and clinicians in a center with state of the art movement analysis and rehabilitation technologies, uniquely complemented with a range of prototypes and technologies developed by BruBotics-VUB.
At the BRRC Core Facility we test commercial rehabilitation robots and technologies, but also rehabilitation robots (exoskeletons, …) and rehabilitation technology (virtual reality applications, gaming devices, sensors,…) that are designed by our Brubotics colleagues from the engineering departments.
The available infrastructure includes two laboratories: a 200m² lab at the VUB Health Campus Jette and a 160m² lab at the VUB Main Campus Etterbeek, equipped with:

Expertise
Within the BRRC Core Facility, a broad range of expertise is available, spanning biomechanics, EEG and EMG, neurophysiology and fundamental muscle (neuro)mechanics, as well as rehabilitation technology, exoskeleton research, user-centered technology development, clinical studies, rehabilitation in diverse populations (including neurological patients and older adults) and sports sciences.
